Ensemble means playing together with other musicians — whether that's a duet partner, a singer, or a full orchestra. As a pianist in an ensemble, listening is just as important as playing; you need to match timing, dynamics, and mood with your fellow performers. It's one of the most rewarding experiences in music and will make you a much more sensitive player.
