Vorschlag

In music, a Vorschlag is a forward motion or a 'proposed' note, often used in art song accompaniment or in Baroque music. When playing a Vorschlag, you'll typically play a note and then release it, allowing the next note to sound immediately after. This technique adds a sense of forward momentum and can be a beautiful addition to a musical phrase.
